There are two main sources for downloading data which updates every quarter or year: the US Courts and the Federal Judiciary Center.
- FJC - Federal Judicial Center that includes government fiscal year filings since 2008. This data includes cases filed, pending, and terminated in that particular year.
- uscourts - all of the bankruptcy data. The “current” data involve the Judicial F-2 tables from 1997 onward (annual based on September 30th), F-2 three month tables which are quarterly level filings from 31 March 2001 onward, F-2 one month since 31 March 2013 onward (but additional data from PACER has pushed this back to 2007), and F-5a which are county origin level filings and publicly available since 31 March 2013 (but available on PACER and through the generosity of Ernest P. Goss of Creighton University). Lots of the interesting, non-public data are housed in the archived section here.
